Parking in the Pines as an annual VW bus camp out held in Golden, CO.
The first two years of this camp out have been at Golden Gate Canyon State Park. However, the time frame of having it in May has not always made for ideal camping. Often times, temps are still in the 20’s at night and the forecast can be very unpredictable.
Camping later in the year though means that the campground will be busier than it is in May and reservations will have to be made for each site. With all this in mind, we are making a list of potential dates to have the camp out that are during more mild-weathered months. Also, I am looking for potential campgrounds that will allow for all the buses to be together, as opposed to having individual sites. Think of a large open area of sorts.
