Pictures of the flex plate (aka drive plate) of an automatic transmission vw bus. Specifically from the model year 1974. Only 3 bolts hold this flex plate to the torque converter. Be sure to use some loc-tite when installing those three bolts. The images showing the damaged flex plate are from those three bolts backing out while on a camping trip. They backed out, even though I triple checked that I torqued them to the specs in the Bentley manual.
